Who is responsible for your information

Luado Digital is a sole-proprietor web design studio operated by Luado Steyn in South Africa. Luado Digital is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, in terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

For any question about your information, including a request to access or delete it, email hello@luado.co.za.

What this website collects

Information you submit through the short enquiry form: your full name, company name, phone number, email address, the service you are interested in, and any optional message you add.

Information you submit through the full application form: your full name, business name, email address, WhatsApp number, website or social link, the service your business provides, your current website situation, the main problem you are trying to solve, whether the business is operating, whether you are the decision-maker, your intended start date, your confirmation of the starting investment, and any optional notes you add.

Alongside either form: the page you were on when you sent it, the website that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. This is used to understand which adverts and pages produce enquiries.

Information collected automatically if analytics is enabled: aggregated usage data such as pages visited, approximate location at city or region level, device type and referring source. This is used to understand how the website is used and is not linked to your application.

This website does not collect passwords, PINs, one-time pins, card or banking details, or login credentials for any of your accounts. Never send those to Luado Digital by any channel. They are not needed at any stage of a project.

Why it is collected

To assess whether your business and project are a fit for the service.

To contact you about your application, arrange a strategy call and send a written scope and quote.

To keep an accurate record of enquiries and quotations for normal business and accounting purposes.

To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so it can be improved.

Consent

You give consent by ticking the consent box and submitting the application form. Consent is voluntary and you may withdraw it at any time by emailing hello@luado.co.za, after which your information is deleted unless it must be retained for legal or accounting reasons.

Who your information is shared with

Your information is not sold, rented or traded, and it is not shared for anyone else’s marketing.

Enquiries are stored in a database on the same South African hosting account that serves this website, and a copy is emailed to Luado Digital. No third-party form service handles them.

Service providers may include the website host and email provider, as well as Google Analytics and Meta when those tracking integrations are enabled. Each receives only the information needed to provide its stated service.

Google and Meta may process analytics or advertising information outside South Africa under their respective privacy and data-protection terms.

Information you enter into the application form is never sent to Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or any other analytics platform. Analytics records only that a form was started or submitted, never its contents.

Analytics and advertising tools

Where enabled, this website may use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage, and a Meta Pixel to measure the performance of advertising. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser.

When either integration is enabled by Luado Digital, it loads automatically when you open a page; the website does not display a separate cookie-consent prompt.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, use a private window, or use a browser with tracking protection. Blocking them does not affect your ability to use the website or send an enquiry.

Nothing you type into a form is ever sent to these tools. They record that a page was viewed and that an enquiry was sent, never its contents.

How long information is kept

Applications that do not proceed are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted.

Records relating to clients and quoted projects are kept for as long as required for business and statutory accounting purposes, and then deleted.

Security

The website is served over HTTPS, and form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection. Access to enquiry records is limited to Luado Digital.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and this is not presented as a guarantee against every possible risk.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, object to its processing, or withdraw your consent.

Email hello@luado.co.za and the request will be actioned. If you are not satisfied with how a request is handled, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Changes to this page

If this information changes, the updated version is published on this page with a revised date. Material changes affecting how your information is used will be communicated directly where a current relationship exists.
